yes, it shall be done....i have the ciznash to do it. it'll be mated to a GSR tranny. what is going to be the problem come wiring time? cuz they're OBD2, aren't they? oh, and BTW, since my tranny is VSS equipped, does this mean i can't use my stock cluster? i confused myself really bad today thinking about that..lol.

Your gonna run an OBD1 ECU - P30 or rechipped D16Z6 with a Mugen or some kind of program to work that engine best with advice from a known shop.

The Tranny is gonna nail your frame mount on the passenger-side. Just a forewarning.

The Hood is also gonna be too short.

Also, since your converting over to OBD1, your gonna need to pay around $500 for a premade wiring harness - ECU and engine, or have a shop do the install. Just a heads up. If money is time, and time is money, then I'd wait and have it done right.

Look into the B18C Place Racing Mount Kit and a larger Radiator.

i've already ordered an aluminum racing radiator, i'm getting a SiR hood for clearance (SiR for USDM lights..same clearance as true SiR)....i'm certainly not going to shim the engine down..i've already read the no-no's in that. i'm definitely having a shop do the install...Jotech Motorsports (kenny tran)..i was just wondering how hard it's going to be for them to get that done. btw, jon, what exactly do you mean by the tranny is going to nail the frame mount? i was trying to find the email you wrote me about the b18c swap, but i think i deleted it accidently. i certainly want to get all of this done right...or at least as right as it can be. oh, one more thing. i can either get a JDM or USDM engine....jdm has 11.1 or so c/r. would it be pointless for me to get it? it's only 5 hp more, and i'm a little scared that i'll be hurting the engine since all i can get is 93 octane. or should i get JDM? thanks for the info.

dude, you can always swap out the VSS sensor that is electronic out of the new tranny with the cable actuated one in your old tranny. at least that is true with the Y1 tranny in my b16. or you can do what i did..get a jdm gauge cluster and rewire. heck, you might want to do that anyways to have the higher revving tach. they go for like 200 bucks on the jdmhonda site.

If you have to pass an emissions test where you live, then dont get the jdm engine. I got my ZC,knowing it was gonna be bad on the emissions, but i didnt know how bad, its been a nightmare trying to get it passed emissions frown but if you dont have an emissions test, i wouldnt know which one to get...ill leave that to the people who know smile
